Owner Tony Meehan and Executive Chef Derek Venutolo have successfully put Mansfield on the DFW culinary map with old school elegance and cosmopolitan fare. Chef Venutolo, known for his long- standing success at Capital Grille, has created a menu that offers not only mouth-watering steaks that cut like butter, but imaginative options that go beyond the standard, fancy steakhouse rigmarole. In addition to the traditional wedge salad and baked potato options, Meehan’s offers baked brie, a “colossal lump crab cocktail” and (my personal favorite) a salmon filet with a mouth-watering olive and caper tapenade. “Tony and I wanted Meehan’s to be the next-level dining experience. We’ve put in the work to make this restaurant next-level and we’re proud of it. Why should people have to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth? The goal was to have the option here in Mansfield and now people are driving here from all over DFW.”

And he’s right. Diners are driving from all over—as far as Frisco, Waxahachie, and beyond to try Meehan’s menu, enjoy craft cocktails, and even Meehan’s very own wine label. Meehan’s Signature Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers rich, velvety berry tasting notes that make your taste buds— and the steak —sing.
